Lana Marie Horichs

Lana Marie Horichs, 75 of Pleasant Valley, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Brightview Westminster Ridge, surrounded by family and friends.

Born September 29, 1949 in Pleasant Valley, MD, she was the daughter of the late Leroy E. “Ticky” Myers and the late Doris E. Leister; beloved “Bride” of Paul Norbern Horichs, her husband of 34 years, who passed away in 2015; devoted mother of son, Owen Ball, and daughter Jennifer Frey and her husband Timothy Frey; cherished “Nana” of Nicholas Ball, Caleb Frey, Luke Frey and Nathaniel Frey; and fond sister of Yvonne Castano and her husband Carlos Castano.

She worked for many years as secretary for her husband’s pool business, Pleasure Pools. She was a Bible Study leader at CBS in Westminster and co-pastor at Harvest Church in Hampstead, MD. She was gentle and unassuming, loved to laugh and make people laugh, loved animals, and loved vacationing with her family and friends in Cuttyhunk, MA.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2025 and 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157), where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Pastor Patrick Allen officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at 1903 S. Pleasant Valley Road, Westminster (21158).
