Kenneth R. Ohler, age 82, of Taneytown
Kenneth Ross Ohler, age 82, of Taneytown, Maryland, who died on Friday morning, January 25, 2008 at Lorien Taneytown.
Born December 8, 1925 in Emmitsburg, Md., he was the son of the late Glenn Ellsworth and Mary Ann (Kelly) Ohler. He was the husband of Clara Roberta (Raver) Ohler, his wife of 55 years.
Ken was retired as a mechanic from Admiral Cleaners. He loved race cars, especially NASCAR and was a Baltimore Oriole Fan. He was a veteran of the U.S Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Kathryn Ohler of Taneytown; grandchildren, James Ohler and fiancée Donna Beard of New Oxford, Pa, and Eric Ohler of Taneytown; sister, Geneva Selby of Taneytown. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Evelyn Shadle.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, and again on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
