Mary Katherine “Kathy” Trump-Amoss, age 56, of Taneytown died Monday, June 11, 2012 at her home. Born October 23, 1955 in Winfield, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Nelson Trump. She was the wife of John Amoss, her husband of 28 years.

Kathy was a bookkeeper for 14 years at Kegals, Inc. in Westminster. In her younger days, she worked at The Havilah Inn in Taneytown. She was a Tupperware consultant for many years and hosted hundreds of Tupperware parties. Most recently, she was employed with the Carroll County Times in kiosk sales.

She was an avid gardener who loved to sow seeds and watch them grow. Kathy enjoyed canning, baking, and sewing. She was very proud of her flower beds and always tried to have the nicest flower beds on the street. She was an excellent baker who loved baking pies and cakes for everyone and holding an annual cookie exchange. She also enjoyed making clothes for Juelz, the family dog.

In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by son, Jason R. Amoss of Taneytown and his girlfriend, Lynn Raab of Keymar; daughter, Casey Amoss of Taneytown; sisters, Amy Franklin and husband, Jack, of Winfield, and Jeannie Trump-Haines and husband, Randy, of Allen, TX; as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday, June 14 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown. Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
