Kathy Young Bare

Kathy Young Bare, 62, of Westminster, Maryland, died December 10, 2024 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born March 16, 1962, in Maryland, She was the daughter of Shirley (Toms) Young, and the late Charles Young. Kathy was a member of Freedom Church in Westminster. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending her time at her beach house in Ocean City Maryland and going to Baltimore Ravens and Orioles games. Kathy is survived by her mother, Shirley Young and Brother, Kevin Young of Fredrick, MD; Partner Kenny Mechalske of Westminster, MD; Son Cody Bare and his wife Ashley Bare of Littlestown PA; and a grandson due in February. A Funeral Service celebrating Kathy’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday December 21, 2024 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787, with Pastor Mike Ferrante officiating. Burial will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery, in Keymar, MD. The family will receive friends Friday, December 20, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 PM, and again from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s name to National Breast Cancer Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., Taneytown.
