Kathleen Alice McFarland, age 48, of Hanover, PA, died on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore following a battle with pulmonary hypertension.
Born June 3, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of David J. Schafferman of Westminster, and the late Nancy B. (Gaylord) Schafferman.
Kathy enjoyed family gatherings, yard sale shopping, and the simple pleasures in life.
Surviving in addition to her father are daughters, Amanda Follmer of Westminster and Ashley McFarland of Edgewood; brother David Schafferman and wife Diane of Westminster; sisters, Kim Obadi, Tracey Martin, and Stacey Liberto and husband Tim all of Westminster.
Also surviving are a grandson, Alex Follmer, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 28th from St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with the Rev. Hector Mateus-Ariza as celebrant. Inurnment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
