Kathleen Ann Lee, 54, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born February 1, 1958 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Esther Zentz Hansen of Taneytown and the late William “Bill” Glacken. She was the wife of the late Arthur Lee, who died in 2011.
Kathleen was a school bus driver for ARC of Carroll County. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, gardening, collecting antiques and decorating for various holidays. She also enjoyed crafts and was an avid reader.
Surviving in addition to her mother are sons, Nicholas Glacken and wife, Melody, of Taneytown, Jimmy Small, Jr. and wife, Ravin, of Taneytown, and Justin Small and fiancé, Carri Purcell of Littlestown, PA; sister, Linda Lovering and husband, Oscar, of FL; step-father, Jesse Hansen of Taneytown; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Ken Carter of Hampstead, and 8 grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Kathleen’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Messiah United Methodist Church, 25 Middle St., Taneytown, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 43025, Baltimore, MD, 21236.
