Kathleen Mary Dunn, 69, of Emmitsburg, MD, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Ministries in Emmitsburg. Born February 13, 1947 in Dobbs Ferry, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice Alworth Golden. She was the wife of the late David James Dunn. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Kathleen was an Administrative Assistant for several years at the Brethren Conference Center in New Windsor, MD. She enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, collecting antiques and owl figurines, and doing craft projects. She had a natural talent for art, and enjoyed sketching and painting. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by daughter, Amy Myles and husband Jay of Emmitsburg; son, Ryan Dunn and wife Kristen of Fairfield, PA; grandchildren, Tyler, Maggie, Aedan, Kiernan, Peyton, Macy, and Matthew; sister, Ann Shephard of PA; and brother, Phil Golden of FL. She was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Liggitt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, MD, with the Rev. Charles F. Krieg, C.M. as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Monday.
