Katherine L. Nicolet, age 66, of Annandale, Va., died on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Emmitsburg, Maryland following an extended illness.
Born October 29, 1941 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Louis C. and Marvis L. (Manuel) Walters. She is survived by a step-mother, Polly Torpy of Florida.
She loved design and to garden. She loved her family and friends, but most of all loved the Lord.
Surviving are children, Kimberley Nicolet of Emmitsburg, Christopher and wife Karen Nicolet of Amissville, Va, and Darryl Nicolet of Gaithersburg, Md.; siblings, Robert, Dennis, and Phillip Walters of Maryland, Richard Walters of Virginia, Sherry Dermer, and Tracy Allen of Texas, Carolyn Krym of Florida, and step-granddaughter Natalie Ruybal.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, October 6, 2008 in The Smith Center of McLean Bible Church, in Vienna, Virginia with Pastor Edward W. Few and Pastor Richard C. Parke co-officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, Md. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
