Karen Ann Mills

Karen Ann Mills, 68, of Emmitsburg, MD passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Gettysburg Center. Born January 13, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. Miller and A. Patricia Miller. She was the loving mother of Bob Reifsnider of Emmitsburg, and Pattie Ennis of Ocean City.

Karen worked for South Central Community Action Programs for over 40 years before her retirement. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and watching Spongebob Squarepants!

Surviving in addition to her son and daughter are daughter-in-law, Sharon Reifsnider; 5 grandchildren, Amber, Heather, Kevin Jr., Abby, and Chelsea; 2 great grandchildren, Greyson, and Kayden; siblings, Connie Ohler (Guy), Arlene Buckley (Maurice), and Randy Miller (Net); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Pratt; brother, Larry Miller; and a nephew, John Ohler.

The family would like to thank Sam Hepfer for his longtime friendship and frequent visits, especially in the last 2 years. The family would also like to thank the nurses at the Gettysburg Center and Compassus Hospice for the care they provided to Karen.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W Main St, Emmitsburg MD 21727. Deacon Joe Wolf will officiate. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
