June B. Snyder, age 75, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born May 13, 1936 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Pothecary) Blain. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles C. Snyder, Jr.
June retired as a school teacher with the Carroll County Public School System. Teaching for most of her 30 year career 1st grade at William Winchester Elementary School. She enjoyed ice skating, watching ice skating shows, and needlework. She volunteered for the Literacy Council of Carroll County.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Sally J. Snyder and Edward C. Snyder both of Taneytown. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pleasant Valley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
