Judith V. Raffel, age 62 of York, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium. She was born September 30, 1946 in New York City, the daughter of the late Edward and Veronica Munson Gotta. She was a psychology professor and taught at Harrisburg Area Community College. She received her Masters Degree in Psychology from Loyola University in Baltimore. She attended St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. Judy was an avid reader and loved gardening.
She is survived by daughters, Rachel Raffel of York, PA and Rebecca and husband Sean Dunagan of Monterrey, Mexico; brother, Edward Gotta, Jr. of Nakomis, FL; grandchildren, Owen, Theodore, Patrick and Phinehas Dunagan and Amelie Scharon.
A prayer service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009, 11:00 A.M. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Deacon Joseph Cinquino officiating.
Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.
The family will receive friends Friday 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
