Judith Lee Bixler, 71, of Lawrenceville, VA died Monday, January 30, 2012. Born September 14th, 1940, in Pensylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Lee and Ida Mae Oberlag Lee. She was the wife of Donald W. Bixler. She grew up in Westminster, MD and graduated from Westminster High School, Class of 1958. She attended Villa Julie College and was a medical secretary for various physicians in MD, NC, and Texas. She also was a home care giver for her mother and was currently the secretary at Lawrenceville Baptist Church where she was a member. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Stephen P. Widener and Jeffrey Widener; her daughter, Amy Widener; step-daughter, Tracy Crabtree; step-son, Brian Bixler; grandchildren, Amber Widener, Alexis Widener, Stephen Widener, Josiah Widener, Jacob Widener, Chase Widener, Chad Widener, Cole Powers, and Caleb Widener; step-grandchildren, Brian Bixler, Jr., Tommy Bixler, Hannah Beasley, and Kendall Beasley; her sisters, Joan Shiffer and Sondra Russell and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert E. Lee and her grandson Macon Widener. She was involved with Christian Marriage Encounter and Exchanged Life Ministry in Dallas, TX, Concerned Women of America, Alpha Pregnancy Center and Hampstead Youth for Christ in MD. She was co-founder with her husband of Sakhisizwe Christian Ministries of South Africa. She went on a one year mission trip to South Africa in 1991 with Youth for Christ USA. In 1995 she and her husband were called to South Africa to start a ministry called Combined Christian Ministries to the Poor and in 1999 opened the Ubomi OButsha (New Life) Ministry Center in Kwazakhele Township, Port Elizabeth S.A. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, Lawrenceville, VA. The family will also receive friends Friday, February 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, Westminster, MD. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home with interment in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
