Joyce Eva Eaton Stonesifer, 77, of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, Md.
Born March 8, 1937 in Frederick County, Md., she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Eaton.
She was the wife of the late Charles Elwood Stonesifer.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Joseph Roberts of Taneytown; son and daughter-in-law, Wilbur and Tammy Stonesifer of Taneytown; grandchildren, Joshua Roberts of Lancaster, Jessica Auge’ of Frederick, Josiah Roberts of Hanover, Joshua Stonesifer of Hanover, and Samantha Howard of Westminster; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Devilbiss, Barbarateen Roderick, Sherry Downs, and Connie Lewis; brother, Stephen Eaton. She leaves behind special friends, Sherrie and Carroll Hahn and Lois Ann Smith.
Joyce loved to travel and she loved flower gardening.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with her son-in-law, Joseph Roberts officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
