It is with deep sadness to share that our precious mother, Joyce Little Grimm, 76, passed peacefully on March 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 7, 1949, to the late Roy and Marie (Anders) Little who resided in Emmitsburg. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and loved the Lord. She was the widow of Francis Eugene Grimm, who passed in 1986.
Mom attended St. Joseph’s High School and enjoyed getting together with her classmates each year. Her class held a special bond as they were like family to her. She was employed at Seton Day Care Center for 30+ years where her love for children, especially the onery boys, was evident.
Surviving are her 2 devoted daughters, Stacey Humerick, and her husband Barry of Waynesboro and Angela Fox, and her husband Brian of Thurmont. She loved her precious grandchildren whom she was so proud of; Shelby Buffington and her husband Justin of Carlisle, Matthew Fox and Nathan Fox of Thurmont, and Jonathan Keckler of Waynesboro; her brothers Richard Little of Carroll Valley and David Little and his wife Charlene of Emmitsburg; her sisters Carolyn Smith and her husband Karl of Thurmont, Beth Little-Terry and her husband Leonard of Florida, and Elaine Ebaugh and her husband Denny of Emmitsburg; her brothers-in-law Monroe Hewitt and Dave Smith of Emmitsburg; her sister-in-law Shirley Litte of Emmitsburg and Sandy Anders of Taneytown, along with numerous nieces and nephews she held dear to her heart. In addition, she is also survived by a very dear friend, Pat Martin and her husband Mike from Taneytown. She gained additional grandchildren, Nick Humerick and his fiancée Bre, Hayley Humerick and her fiancée Jesse, and great-grandchildren Zayden, Kaliana, Lily and Jullian.
She was predeceased by her sisters Gerry Hewitt, Mary Jean Orndorff, Joan Smith and Christina Little; her brothers John Leon Anders and Larry Little; and her brother-in-law Francis “Buzz” Orndorff.
Mom loved spending time with her family and her bingo friends. She was very giving and always baked for those she loved. Mom also loved to travel, and we had the pleasure of taking her to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and to the Tennessee mountains as well as to the beaches. She loved life. She loved to dance, sing Karaoke, play cards, going to the casino, and especially Rod Stewart, Conway Twitty, Clint Eastwood, and Pete Rose.
The Pall Bearers will be her grandsons Matthew Fox, Nathan Fox and Jonathan Keckler; and her nephews Dennis Ebaugh, Jr., Michael Lookingbill and Kevin Dewees.
