Josephine Pyle Hunter, 89, of Taneytown, Maryland died peacefully Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born April 2, 1926 in Americus, GA, she was the daughter of the late David A. Pyle, Sr. and Mary Jordan Pyle. She was the loving wife of the late Richard L. Hunter, who passed October 13, 2001.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Barbara L. Hunter, and grandson, Richard L. Hunter, all of Taneytown; granddaughter, Angela J. Layman and family of Hanover, PA; brother, David A. Pyle, Jr. and wife Lois Pyle, of Manchester; sister, Patricia A. Recker of Plains, GA; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD, 21157. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
