Joseph Talotta, 72, of Taneytown, died peacefully Monday, July 8, 2013 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Maryland. Born April 14, 1941 in Maierato, Italy, he was the son of the late Romualdo and Palma Lazzaro Talotta. He was the husband of Caroline Belancic Talotta, his wife of 49 years.
Joseph was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown. He worked for many years as a plant manager for several different companies in the clothing manufacturing industry. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son, Joseph R. Talotta of Johannesburg, South Africa; daughter, Antonette L. Lippy and husband Michael of Baltimore; and son, Robert J. Talotta and wife Erika of Palm City, FL; brother, Tony Talotta and wife Diane of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Noble and Slade Lippy and Isabella Talotta; numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 W. Frederick St, Taneytown, MD with Monsignor Martin E. Feild as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation or viewing.
