Joseph Anthony Seitler, age 74 of Westminster, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was born March 18, 1933 in Baltimore the son of the late Philip J. and Grace R. Leitz Seitler. He was the husband of the late Ruth Lee Seitler who died in January 2008. He was a U.S. veteran and served in Korea. He worked as a painter for the Carroll County School Board. He enjoyed fishing, nature, playing horseshoes jitterbugging and watching movies.
He is survived by children and spouses, Mark and Beckie Seitler of Westminster, Becky Stauff of Brunswick, Maine, Mary and Jerry Farver, Mike Seitler and Beth Nickelson, all of Westminster, and Jim Seitler and fiancee’ Lauren Gruner of Woodland Hills, Calif; sister and brother-in-law Margaret and John Smith of Westminster; grandchildren, Emily, Greg, Sam, Shane, Nick, Jessica, Elizabeth, Shannon and Christopher; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers James A. and Raymond A. Seitler.
A memorial service will be held Friday 7:00 pm at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Dr. Richard W. Scott officiating.
Inurnment will be private.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
