Joseph Robert "Bob" Raab

Joseph Robert “Bob” Raab, age 78 of Taneytown, MD passed at his home on Sunday, March 2, 2025. Born July 31, 1946, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late William and Madeline Raab. He was the loving companion to Linda Lee Ott for 56 years.

Bob was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the US Army from 1968 to 1970. He was a Master Stone Mason for more than 20 years. He later worked for Schaeffer Machinery & Farm Equipment LLC, Taneytown as a mechanic until retiring in 2021. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Besides his long-time companion, Linda, he is survived by his children, Michael Raab and his wife Nicole of Hanover, PA and Stacey Paine of Glen Rock, PA, grandchildren, Kayla Brocato and fiancé Travis Jones of WV and Dominic Paine of Glen Rock, great-grandson, Travis Kenneth Jones (TK) and 1 great-granddaughter on the way, siblings, Robin Stansbury and husband Chris of Keymar and Justin Raab of FL . 

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 8th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore St. Taneytown, MD where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Chaplin Charline Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, 5210 Harney Rd, Taneytown, Md.
