Johnny William “Manny” Eyler, 53, of Emmitsburg, died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the York Hospital Center in York, PA. Born June 26, 1960 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Edgar and Alice Miller Eyler.
Manny was owner/operator of the former Eyler’s Auto Body Shop in Emmitsburg. He enjoyed restoring old cars, watching old movies, playing cards, spending time with his family and his dog Maggie, and listening to oldies music, especially the Beach Boys.
He is survived by son, Travis Eyler and wife Jennifer, and grandchildren, Brenden and Kaylee Eyler, all of Waynesboro, PA; brothers, Joe Eyler and wife Peggy of Fairfield, PA, Clifford Eyler and wife Shirley, and Sammy Eyler and wife Annie, all of Emmitsburg. He was predeceased by sister, Franny Seltzer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and partner Debbie Kelly of Gettysburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 17 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Francis W. Sacks, C.M. officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont. The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
