John Anthony Layton, age 46, of Gettysburg, PA, died on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at home.
Born June 12, 1968 in Olney, Maryland, he was the son of Joan (Layton) Coffman and Charles Steven Coffman of Keymar, MD.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and butchering farm and wild game animals.
Surviving him in addition to his parents are a daughter, Brittney Layton of Emmitsburg; sisters, Kelly Sutherland of PA, Candy Marsh of MD, and Bonnie Haines of MD; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
