John Edward Kwarta, 52, of Emmitsburg, MD, died peacefully Friday, December 18, 2015 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA. Born December 31, 1962 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Edward and Anna Mae (Cool) Kwarta.
John was employed by Freeman Shoe Company in Emmitsburg during his younger years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, mushroom hunting, and spending time with his dog Sammy.
Surviving are daughter, Brandy Cool of Smithsburg; son, John Kwarta, Jr. of Thurmont; siblings, Walter Kwarta and fiancée Robin Hill of Webster Springs, WV, Diana Kwarta Lantz and husband Milton of Emmitsburg, Andrew Kwarta of Emmitsburg, Edward Kwarta and fiancée Susan Kreps of Emmitsburg, and Sherry Nicholas and husband Kevin of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; grandchildren, Valerie and Nathan; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no funeral service per John’s wishes. Memorial contributions to help defray final expenses may be made to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.O. Box 308, Emmitsburg, MD, 21727. Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Emmitsburg.
