John Daniel George

John Daniel George, age 83, of New Windsor, MD died peacefully at his home on Monday, October 23, 2023. Born January 28, 1940, he was the son of the late John Daniel and Gertrude (Higgs) George.

John was a man of few words but very kindhearted. He enjoyed attending vintage cars shows having been many over the years. He liked playing cards and gazing out the window, enjoying the view. He was a member of the Good Shepard Program at The Church of the Open Door.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home 136 E. Baltimore St. Taneytown, MD.  A time of gathering to receive friends will be held on Friday, October 27th from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.

Interment will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Cemetery, Taneytown.
