John Edward Garner, Jr., age 25, of Carroll Valley, Pennsylvania, died suddenly on Tuesday morning, April 20, 2010 at home.
Born March 24, 1985 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son and step-son of John E. Garner, Sr. and Lisa Poole of Waynesboro, PA, and Lucinda A. (Cool) Garner and Rick Baumgardner of Carroll Valley, PA.
John enjoyed working as a roofer and working on cars.
Surviving in addition to his parents are children, Jordan, Dalene and Isabella Garner all of Emmitsburg, MD; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Sally and Kenneth Baumgardner of Tenn.; paternal grandmother, Nona Garner Sherriff of Carlisle, PA; sister, Kimberly Garner of Fairfield; brother, Johnee Garner of Waynesboro; 2 aunts, 8 uncles, 1 nephew, and several cousins.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Kodi Garner.
A Prayer service will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main St., Emmitsburg, MD, with Rev. Vincent J. O’Malley, C.M. officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
