John Patrick Edwards

John Patrick Edwards, age 38, of Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 1, 2014, with his family by his side at his home.
Born August 16, 1975 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, he was the son of Richard and Mary (McGuigan) Edwards.  He is survived by his wife of almost 6 ½ years, Jessica Lynn (Carter) Edwards.
He graduated from Bel Air High School and went on to work at APG in the development of GPS in its infancy, and in the installation and testing of fiber optics. He also worked in the family-owned towing and charitable vehicle donation programs; and lastly, was employed by Snavely Forest Products in Westminster.
He enjoyed all water sport activities, off-road four wheeling, camping, family vacation trips, cook-outs with crabs, and home landscaping and improvement projects, non-stop.
He enjoyed time with his pets, Bullseye and Dodger. He was family oriented, outgoing and known to be positive about life.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are children, Samantha McCarter of Harford County, MD; Jordan, Brandon, and Ryan Sell all of Spring Grove, PA; brother, Richard Edwards, Jr. of Harford County, MD; and niece, Breanna; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster and on Saturday, March 8th from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the Crosswind Church, 640 Lucabaugh Mill Road, Westminster with Pastor David Sulcer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.
The family appreciates words of comfort and care and encourages memorial contributions to be made to the family to assist them with final expenses.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
