John Wilson Cramer, 73, of Union Bridge, Maryland died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born September 2, 1941 in Twin Rocks, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Wilda Moose Cramer. He was the husband of Alma Jo Lindsay Cramer, to whom he was married for 51 years.
John was the owner/operator of J.W. Cramer Woodwork in Union Bridge for nearly 30 years. He enjoyed model railroading, target shooting, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Jodie Furbay and husband Christopher of Union Bridge; sisters, Pat Warrenfeltz of Littlestown, PA, and Janet Groomes and husband Vernon of Hampstead; grandchildren, Cody, Brianna, Tori, and Tanner; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, MD, with Pastor Fred Horner officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
