John Baxter Chenoweth, age 56, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born September 30, 1953 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Jean (Jones) Chenoweth of Taneytown, and the late John Emory Chenoweth.
John graduated from Francis Scott Key High School, and from Western Maryland College with a degree in Music Education. He was a music instructor and taught guitar in Westminster for many years at Stu’s Music Shop and most recently at Coffey Music.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a sister, Kristin Tolar and husband Ronald of Dothan, Alabama; nephew David Tolar and wife Megan of Gettysburg, PA; and a great nephew Jackson Tolar. Also surviving are several close friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown. Graveside services and interment will be private.
