John Franklin Atkinson, age 51 of Baltimore died suddenly Sunday July 11, 2010.
He was born February 7, 1959 in Baltimore the son of John W. Atkinson of Myrtle Beach, SC and the late Doris N. Orem Atkinson. He was the husband of Teresa Meyers Atkinson of Linwood, MD. He worked as a pest control operator. He attended Uniontown Bible Church.
In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by his son, Brian D. Atkinson of Linwood, MD; step-mother, Elizabeth “Libby” Atkinson of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Patricia and husband, Thomas Costantini of Perry Hall and Linda Atkinson and fiance’, David Gifford of Baltimore; aunt, Verna Carroll of Baltimore; also several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday July 16, 2010, 1:00 P.M. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating.
The family will receive friends 12:00 PM until time of service Friday at funeral home.
Interment will be private at a later date.
