Jo Ann Slomine

Jo-Ann Slomine, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on December 4, 1943, Jo-Ann grew up in the Philadelphia area, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished relationships.

Jo-Ann was the devoted mother of Beth Slomine and Amy Garofalo and the loving mother-in-law of Ken Harris and Tony Garofalo. She was a proud and doting grandmother to Rachel, Matthew, Emma, and Sophia, all of whom brought her immense joy. Family was at the center of Jo-Ann’s life. She loved talking about her grandchildren and she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones.

Jo-Ann was a graduate of Cheltenham High School and Temple University. She built a career in real estate, where she not only worked as an agent but also owned and operated her own brokerage. Her dedication and passion for her work earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Jo-Ann was known for her warm and witty personality. She had a remarkable ability to bring laughter to those around her, always ready with a story or a joke to brighten someone’s day. She found great fulfillment in the friendships she cultivated over the years.

A service and celebration of Jo-Ann’s life will be held on May 18 at 11:00 AM at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania followed by a luncheon. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to join in honoring her memory.

Jo-Ann’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy of love, kindness, and humor will never be forgotten.
