Jim Fisher

James Edward Fisher, 65, of Taneytown, MD, died on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.  Born March 18, 1956 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles and Delores (Moates) Fisher.  He was the husband of Tony Lee (Knouse) Fisher, his wife of 15 years.

Jim was employed by the Carroll County Roads Department for 25 years as a Roads Worker, retiring in 2020.  He was a member of Mayberry First Church of God.  He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson trike, tinkering with anything mechanical, attending auctions, and watching NASCAR.  He was a life-long member of the Steam Show Society of Carroll County.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Tony, are his daughter, Kimberly Gregory; and his 6 siblings, Richard, Barbara, Glen, Charles Jr., Doug and Elizabeth; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Mayberry First Church of God, 2424 Mayberry Rd., Westminster, MD 21158, with Pastor Matt DeCampo officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to Mayberry First Church of God at the above address.
