Jeremy Richard “Hippie” Reinholt, 41, of Westminster passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home. Born March 3, 1977 in Westminster, he was the son of Joyce Elaine (Adkins) Reinholt of Union Bridge and Jerry Richard Reinholt and wife Wendy of Westminster.
Jeremy was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, class of ’95. He also attended Carroll VoTech in Westminster. He worked in construction until an accident left him disabled. He enjoyed fishing, and played soccer and baseball in his younger years. He was 3rd baseman for the Union Bridge Midgets. He enjoyed being on the farm and he loved his pit bulls. Jeremy attended Sunday School at the Evangelical Christian Church in Keymar when he was a boy. He had a great passion for helping the homeless and volunteered at On Our Own of Carroll County.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are son, Logan Richard Reinholt of Hampstead; sister, Michelle Lynn Bydume and husband Derrick of Manchester; paternal grandmother, Ellen Reinholt of Martinsburg, WV; step-sister, Tara Reinholt; step-brother, Elisha Reinholt; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Richard Reinholt; and maternal grandparents, Richard and Viola Adkins.
Jeremy’s family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Jade Rogers officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to the funeral home at the above address.
