Jennifer Lynn Getz, age 37, of Acosta, PA, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Born March 2, 1974, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Louie Lewis of Dundalk, MD and Sandra Weinreich Brown of Essex, MD. She was the wife of Timothy Getz.
Jennifer was a hotel manager and enjoyed singing and spending time with her children, other family members, and her friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are daughters, Tara Giordano of Abingdon, MD, Amber Collins & Jordan Giordano of Hagerstown, MD, and Zoe, Kaitlyn & Destiny Getz of Acosta, PA; step-sisters, Lindsay Lewis of Baltimore & Lauren Lewis of North Carolina; and step-brother, Chad Lewis of Dundalk.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 3 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD with Pastor James Ruddy of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Littlestown, PA officiating. Inurnment will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A reception will held immediately following the service at St. John Lutheran Church, 15 N. Church St., Thurmont, MD.
