Jeffrey Steven Hughes, 54, of Westminster, died Monday evening, October 24, 2016 at his home.
Born May 8, 1962 in Westminster, he was the son of Ethel E. Miller Hughes of Westminster and the late H. Holden Hughes. He formerly worked for the Red Cross and also was employed as a construction worker for different companies. Jeffrey loved listening to music, playing his guitar, fishing and riding his bicycle.
Surviving in addition to his mother is a son, Steven M. Hughes McKenzie; a brother, James Hughes and his wife, Julie of Taneytown; a sister, Joni Brossart and husband, Stephen of Frederick; an aunt, Ruth Shreck of Westminster, and many cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, with Pastor Tom Richard officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
