Jeanne Carol Horns

Jeanne Carol Horns nee Sevick, age 79, of Bedford NH, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Bowman Place at Olde Bedford. Born May 18, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George A. Sevick, Sr. and Leona Ann Sevick nee Young. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Horns, who passed in 2020.

Jeanne was a graduate of St. Clement Mary Hofbauer School in Rosedale, MD and St. Stephen High School in Bradshaw, MD. She lived for three years in Carroll Vista, Taneytown, MD, before moving back to New Hampshire to be near her children. Jeanne was a retired, well-respected, award-winning businesswoman, who loved dogs, horses, gardening, cooking, and driving across the country in her motor home. Most important in her life was her family.

Surviving are; daughter Julie Horns (Craig); son, Joshua Horns; grandson, Foster Giglio; step-daughters, Cindy Harris, Terri Jo Hague, Lori Alexander; sister, Linda Webster and husband Larry; brother, James Sevick; nephews and nieces, Melanie Webster Ware, Terri Lynne Berwanger, James Sevick, Jr., Leona Sevick and Kristin Freeman, Matthew Webster, Sarah Webster; great-nieces and great-nephews, Katie Ware, Rose, Mae and Gwendolyn Webster, Elijah and Aida Jane Disharoon, Caleb and Cole Sevick, Holly and Samuel Freeman; cousins, Brenda Patacca, Sharon Tamassia, Timothy Tamassia, Linda Young, Shirley Young; and many special friends. Jeanne was predeceased by infant son, Jon Paul; brother, George Sevick, Jr., and sister-in-law, Chong Mi Sevick.

The family will receive friends at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick Street, Taneytown, MD 21787 with Msgr. Martin Feild officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
