Clara Jean Ritter Stonesifer Lambert, age 78, of New Midway died peacefully at her home Thursday, June 7, 2012. Born April 27, 1934 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Russell and Lydia Ann Ritter Stonesifer. She was the wife of the late John David Samuel Lambert, to whom she was married nearly 40 years.

Jean grew up in Keysville and relocated to New Midway when she married. She was a homemaker and life-long member of Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, collecting calendar plates & Carnivalware, and spending time with her family and her cats.

Surviving are daughter, Jana Marlaine Lambert and husband, James Delton Cook of Frederick; son, Jonathan David “Jody” Lambert and fiancé, Gidget Isanogle of New Midway; brother, Fred Stonesifer of Everett, PA; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Stonesifer of Rockville; grandsons, Courtenay James Cook and Jacob Dylan Lambert, both of Frederick; and nephew, Scott Stonesifer of Germantown. She was predeceased by son, Jacob Daniel Lambert and brother, G. Richard Stonesifer.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 11 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, MD with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
