He was born July 14, 1955 in Washington, D.C., son of Barbara Heisse Grooman of N.C., and the late Vinton E. Grooman. He is survived by his wife, Gabrielle M. Bongers; sons, Kevin Grooman of Baltimore and Brian Grooman of Columbia; brothers, Randall Grooman of Beltsville and Timothy Grooman of N.C.; sister, Karen Schindler of Elkridge.
Services will be private.
