Jason Patrick Simpkins

October 18, 1995 — March 21, 2015

Jason Patrick Simpkins, age 19, of Ellicott City, formerly of Hampstead, died at University of Maryland Shock Trauma, as the result of an automobile accident on March 21, 2015 near Annapolis, Maryland.

Jason is survived by his parents, Scott Simpkins of Ellicott City and Regina Simpkins of Hampstead; siblings, Kelli Simpkins of Seattle, WA; Ryan Simpkins of Hampstead, MD; Heidi and Holly Simpkins of Ellicott City; paternal uncles Scott Friend, Steve Simpkins, Jack Simpkins and Rick Landsiedel; maternal uncle Ricky Coots and aunt Sherri Maynor; paternal grandparents Dave and Theresa Simpkins of Seattle and maternal grandparents Fred and Sandra Coots of Colcord, WV. He is preceded in death by uncle Dennis Coots, cousin Jodi Small, great aunt Judy Coots, great grandmother Nelli Presswood; great-great grandmother Opal Doss.

Jason was born on October 18, 1995 in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany. He graduated from Manchester Valley High School in 2013. He attended Carroll County Community and then Howard County Community Colleges.  He was a caring, loving, curious, fun and adventurous individual who loved life and was passionate about many life goals. Jason loved to travel and was planning to tour the world with a backpack with his girlfriend, Susannah Badders, who also died with him in the accident.

The family will receive friends for a viewing and time of remembrance on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 2-6 p.m. at LifePoint Church, 1701 Emory Rd., Reisterstown, MD.  Interment will be private on Saturday morning for close family members.  A celebration of life Memorial Service for Jason, Susannah, and Ray will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Grace Baptist Church, 7210 Racetrack Rd., Bowie, MD.  The family would like to thank University of Maryland Shock Trauma for their professional and compassionate care.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
