March 21, 1983 — February 2, 2016

Jason Dwayne Kreit, 32, of Taneytown, MD, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at York Hospital in York, PA.  Born March 21, 1983 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of John Kreit (Rolanda Morningstar) of Taneytown, and Carol Kreit (Joseph Ray) of Berkeley Springs, WV.

Jason enjoyed playing golf, hunting, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Hesson Snyder Post #120 in Taneytown.

Surviving in addition to his parents are daughter, Mollie Noelle Garrison of Westminster; sisters, Shelly Kreit and fiancé Ed Yingling of Westminster, and Kimberly Kreit and fiancé Steve Rock of Taneytown; maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Gladys Rock, Jr. of Taneytown;  niece, Kaylynn Messick; nephews, Keith Miller and Devon Yingling; uncles, Jack Bowers of Taneytown, Dennis Kreit and wife Donna of FL, Joe Kreit and wife Helen of Taneytown, Donald Rock and wife Peggy of Taneytown, Eugene Rock and companion Beverly Crouse of Taneytown, Eddie Rock of Taneytown, Tim Rock of Keymar, and Steve Rock of Taneytown; aunts, Sue Kreit of Taneytown, Barb Sanders and husband Rodney of Keymar, and Margaret Keister of Stanley, NC, and many cousins.  He is also remembered by devoted friends, Eula Baker and her family of Taneytown, longtime family friend, Elaine Cassidy Morningstar of Taneytown, devoted family and friends, Georgie Kreit, Billy Baker, Kody and Kory Jenkins, Brenda Lentz, and many others.  He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, George and Dorothy Kreit, Sr.; nephew, Wesley Miller; uncles, George Kreit, Jr., and John Rock, Sr.; aunt, Mary Bowers; and cousin, Jimmy Kreit.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
