James F. Wilson

James F. Wilson, 80, of Mt. Airy, formerly of Reisterstown, died Tuesday, April 28, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster.
Born January 11, 1928 in Mt. Washington, he was the son of the late Estelle Wilson. His wife, Doris M. Brown Wilson, predeceased him in 1997.
Mr. Wilson was retired from Federal Aviation Administration after working for 22 years as an Electrical Engineer for BWI Airport. He rode horses for 17 years before joining the Maryland National Guard. In 1946 he was a champion pony rider for Linky-Smith Stable in New York. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Damascus.
Surviving him are children, John P. Wilson and Karen A. Glacken of Westminster and Tim E. Wilson of Phoenix; sisters, Kate Klinefelter of Gyndon, Betty Barr of Upperco and Pat Cates of Delaware; grandchildren, Gary, Jennifer, James and Mark and great-grandchildren, Riley, Madison and Mikayla. He was also predeceased by a son, Robert Blaine Wilson, and sisters, Eleanor, Dorothy and Rose.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, May 4th from the Myers Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, with Pastor Ray Scheck officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
