James Kenneth Sevick, Sr., of Keymar, MD, died peacefully at Carroll Hospital Center on February 25, 2024. He was born in Baltimore in 1947. He was the youngest of four children born to the late George Albert Sevick and Leona Ann Sevick (née Young).
Jim served as a military policeman in Korea where he met his loving wife of 53 years, Chong Mi Sevick, who died in 2021. He retired from the Maryland State Police in 1992 and then served as Director of Security at Buckingham’s Choice Senior Living Center in Buckeystown, MD.
He is survived by his children, James Kenneth Sevick, Jr. and wife Ashley of York, PA, his daughter Leona Ann Sevick and husband Grant Disharoon of Bridgewater, VA, his grandchildren Caleb and Cole Sevick and Elijah and Adah Jane Disharoon. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Webster and her husband Larry, his sister-in-law, Young Mi and husband Lee, along with many nephews and nieces.
