James H. “Jim” Robertson, 74, of Taneytown died peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at his home. Born December 7, 1938 in Rockville, he was the son of the late James and Depsa Smith Robertson. He was the husband of Sarah Sanders Robertson.
Jim worked in maintenance at the Taneytown Commercial Trailer Park. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served at a military hospital in Germany. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR races and golf on TV, collecting a variety of old things, and spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son, Jimmy Crowe of Woodsboro; daughters, Sharon Kelly and husband Darrin, Sherry Robertson, Sandy Crowe and husband Daryl, and Dorothy Beverly, all of Taneytown, and Melanie Patrice Robertson of Missouri; seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no funeral service. Arrangements are by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD, 21157.
