James S. McFarland, age 47 of Hanover, PA died Monday, September 1, 2008 at Hanover General Hospital. He was born June 4, 1961 in Baltimore, the son of the late William and Sara Peacock McFarland. He was the husband of Kathleen Schafferman McFarland, his wife of 28 years. He was the step-son of Ruth and Steve Fitzgerald of Baltimore.
In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters, Amanda Follmer and Ashley McFarland, both of Hanover; siblings, Kenny, William, David, Billy, Bobby, Joseph, Wayne, Debbie, Cheryl and Crystal; grandson, Alexander Follmer and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held Friday, September 19, 2008, 11:00 A.M. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster with Msgr. Arthur F. Valenzano as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help with final expenses to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
