James Marion Buell, age 80, of Finksburg, Maryland, died on Sunday morning, January 11, 2009 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born November 6, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Margaret L. (Caples) Buell. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Lillian M. “Susie” (Giesler) Buell in 2005.
Mr. Buell was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. He was retired as a supervisor with the News American Paper. Jim was a member of the Carrollton Church of God in Finksburg.
Surviving are children, Dawn S. Buell of Finksburg, James M. Buell and wife Karen of Westminster, and Gwyn L. Buell of Finksburg; grandchildren, Jennifer Cabllero, Todd Grimes, and Holly and Mandy Buell; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Skylar, and Maddox Cabllero. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn Carol Young in 2005, and by a brother, Ellsworth Buell, and a sister, Margaret Sharman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with his pastor the Rev. David L. Meador officiating. Interment will follow in the Carrollton Church of God Cemetery in Finksburg.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
