Jacob Daniel Lambert, age 44, of Keymar, Maryland, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at home.
Born March 23, 1964 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Jean (Stonesifer) Lambert of Keymar, Maryland, and the late John David Samuel Lambert, who died on January 31, 2001.
Jacob passion in life was his music, and he was gifted as a self taught musician to play multiple instruments and sing. He was a former member of the following local bands, K & P & the J’s, Straight Shooter, James Taylor Band, and finally the Great Train Robbery Band. He was the opening act for Molly Hatchett, .38 Special, Lynard Skynrd, Bad Company, Steppenwolf, Foghat, amongst many others. He loved to entertain others, and would help anyone in need, he had a heart of gold. He was a member of Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are a son Jacob Dylan Lambert of Frederick, MD; brother, Jonathan David Lambert of Keymar, Jana M. Lambert and husband Jim Cook of Frederick, MD; nephew, Courtenay James Cook of Frederick. He was loved by his girlfriend Michele Micklus and her son Ryan.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Keysville Union Cemetery in Keymar. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
