Jacob Thomas Crockett Hansbrough, age 25, of Taneytown, Maryland died suddenly on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital following complications from heart disease.
Born May 4, 1985 in Cheverly, Maryland, he was the son of James D. and Maria “Nini” (Jardeleza) Hansbrough, Jr. of Taneytown.
Jacob was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Taneytown. He was a 2003 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School and graduated with a degree in Art from the Art Institute of Pittsburg. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are siblings, Jeni Sturdivant and husband Chris of Taneytown, Jes Corey and husband Ian of Baltimore, Jimbo Hansbrough of Germantown, Katie Korn and husband Patrick of Keymar, Joe Hansbrough, Rico Hansbrough, and Jack Hansbrough all of Taneytown; nephews, Alex and William Sturdivant, and Bo Korn; maternal grandmother, Lolita Jardeleza, of Silver Spring; paternal grandparents, James and Betty Hansbrough, Sr. of Taneytown; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Joshua Hansbrough; maternal grandfather, Magdaleno Jardeleza; and by paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Murphy.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown and on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of service at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, with the Rev. Monsignor Martin E. Feild as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
