Jack Eyler

NOTE:  SERVICE RESCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 6 DUE TO WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS AND THE PASSING OF JACK'S LATE WIFE, NANCY, ON JANUARY 25TH.

Jack L. Eyler, 72, of Emmitsburg, MD died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA.  Born March 26, 1943 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Clyde and Glova (Stitely) Eyler.  He was the husband of the late Nancy V. Eyler.

Jack was a construction worker and builder.  He attended Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg, and was a former member of the Gettysburg Moose Lodge.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are step-children, Denise Ausherman and husband Curtis of Rocky Ridge, MD, Robert Manahan, Jr. and wife Wanda of Gettysburg, PA, and Kevin Manahan and wife Lisa of Berryville, VA; step-grandchildren, Travis, Tyler, Trent, and Tanner Ausherman, Kayla Conover, and Sean, Myla, Brett, and Bryce Manahan; step-great-grandsons, Jordan Ausherman and Casey Conover; and many nieces and nephews.  Jack was the last of his immediate family.  He was predeceased by a grandson, Brandon Manahan; a brother, Billy;  and 3 sisters, Virginia Lee, Audrey, and Katherine.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD, with Pastor Jon R. Greenstone of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
