Irene C. Zoulias, 96, of Holiday, FL, died Thursday afternoon, October 3, 2013, after a short illness at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born June 26, 1917 in Franklin, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of Athan Churas and Urania Gekas Churas. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, George Zoulias.
Mrs. Zoulias was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, talented seamstress, outstanding cook, educator, and volunteer. She loved being on the go and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. She belonged to several civic organizations and was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Newport Richey, FL. Family meant everything to her, and she will be remembered by all who knew her as a very thoughtful, caring and giving person.
Surviving include her children and their spouses, Charles G. and Christine Zoulias of Manchester, N.H., Nicholas G. and Jeanne Zoulias of Westminster, MD, Andrew P. and Deborah Zoulias of Frederick, MD, and Maria Czop of Kittery, ME, as well as ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made in her name to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, Maryland 21157.
