Ida Belle Bowman, age 88 of Westminster died Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Lookabout Manor in Westminster. She was born July 30, 1920 in Maryland, the daughter of the late Delbert Earl and Mary Etta Parrish Green. She was the wife of the late Malcolm O. Bowman who died in August 2006. For many years she worked on a sod farm. She also worked in a canning factory and on the family farm. She was a member of St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ in Pleasant Valley.
She is survived by her siblings, Anna L. Erb and Theodore H. Green both of Westminster; also several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings, Joseph, Stephen, Winfield and Geneva Green and Emma Brauning.
A funeral service will be held Monday 3:00 pm at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with her pastor Rev. Nancy Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gamber.
The family will receive friends Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
