Herman L. Sentz, 91, of Taneytown MD, died peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center in Hanover, PA. Born January 14, 1925 in Carroll County, MD, he was the son of the late Oscar and Marie (Rinehart) Sentz. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Yealy) Sentz, to whom he was married for more than 50 years.
Herman was a drill press operator at Littlestown Hardware & Foundry for many years. He later worked at McDonald’s in Taneytown. He was a member of Piney Creek Church of the Brethren near Harney. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and riding motorcycles along with his wife Margaret. They were members of the Happy Ramblers Motorcycle Club.
Surviving are daughter, Ruth Ann Clouser and husband Allen of Hanover, PA; sisters, Rita Sells and husband Jim of Kingsdale, PA, Arlene Evans and husband Page of Littlestown, PA, and Erma Sentz of PA; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with the Rev. Stan Diehl officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
