Helmut Kurt Neugebauer, age 77, of Fairfield, Pennsylvania died peacefully Tuesday, August 9, at his home. Born December 7, 1933 in Kolbnitz, Silesia, he was the son of the late Gerhard and Frieda Seeliger Neugebauer. He was the husband of Emmy Muller Neugebauer, his wife of 47 years.
He was self-employed as a carpenter and contractor. He enjoyed photography, carpentry, traveling and spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, Monica Butteriss and husband Ian of Silver Spring; son, Thomas Neugebauer of Ellicott City; brother, Eckehard Neugebauer and sister, Herta Miklaucic, both of Dresden, Germany; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Clare and Connor. He was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Cheryl Neugebauer.
A graveside service and inurnment at Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery will be private at a later date.
