Born September 7, 1919 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Sara B. MacIntosh McCarthy. Her husband of 65 years, John J. Meehan Jr., predeceased her in 2005.
Helen was a devout Catholic who loved her family, her children, and her many grandchildren.
Surviving are her children and spouses, Sandra L. and J. Edward Beynon of Hampstead, John “Jack” and Nancy Meehan III of Lexington, OK, Brian P. and Kitty Meehan of Westminster, Dennis Kevin Meehan of Ranson, WV and Geralyn “Geri” M. Meehan of Hampstead; 10 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Edward James Meehan; granddaughters, Tracy and Stephanie Meehan and grandson, Shawn Meehan and sisters, Grace Rill, Dorothy Rosensteel and Margaret Gill.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St, Westminster. Burial will be private.
